New Dawn Settlement Authority

The New Dawn Settlement Authority plans and supplies new settlements on Mars, Titan and Ganymede, operating a large fleet of Cascade Dropships to land colonists and cargo. It is the biggest sponsor of our Dropship Landing Certification.

The authority funds 10 seats each year on the course and two on the Heavy Freight Type Rating for pilots who will fly Atlas supply runs. Sponsored dropship pilots commit to three years of landings at settlement sites.

New Dawn's hazard and landing-site data feed our descent planning exercises, and its site engineers brief every cohort on what a landing pad at a brand-new colony really looks like.

The authority requires the Planetary Descent Endorsement for every pilot landing at one of its sites.

New Dawn's sponsorship is aimed at pilots who are comfortable with uncertainty: colony sites are often surveyed only from orbit, and the first landings set the pattern for everything that follows. Sponsored graduates join the authority's descent crews on the Olympus Ring and fly supply landings to Martian settlements before moving on to seasonal deployments supporting new outposts on Titan and Ganymede.
