Frontier Reach Expeditions

Frontier Reach Expeditions runs commercial and scientific expeditions to the ice giants from its base on Callisto, flying Odyssey Deep Explorers, Tempest Ice Runners for supply, and Aurora couriers for fast links home.

The company sponsors four seats a year on Deep Explorer Command for candidates it intends to appoint as expedition commanders, plus two on the Outer-System Ice Runner Rating and two on the Courier & Interceptor Rating.

Frontier Reach provides the Odyssey flight hours for the command course, and its vessels host the deputy-commander deployment that forms the final assessment.

Many of its current commanders began as Tempest pilots and followed the ice runner to command path.

Frontier Reach selects command candidates from its own Tempest and Odyssey crews and nominates them only after at least one full outer-system voyage. The company covers the psychological suitability review, the 21-day isolation simulation on Titan and the long transit to the deputy-commander deployment. Its expedition commanders now lead voyages lasting up to four years, and every one of them holds the Deep-Space Command Endorsement.
