Tidewater Salvage & Recovery
Tidewater Salvage & Recovery is one of the oldest salvage firms in cislunar space, clearing derelicts and debris around Earth, Luna and L5 with a fleet of Basilisk Salvage Tugs. Like Lumen, it began in Oceania, and the two have worked together for decades.
Tidewater sponsors seven seats each year on Salvage Tug Operations and provides retired hulls for the tumbling-target exercises on our orbital range. It also funds six First Solo: Foundation Flight places for young people from Oceania communities, covering the 48,000-credit tuition in full.
Callum McBride, who leads our salvage course, flew Basilisks for Tidewater for 12 years.
Sponsored salvage graduates join Tidewater crews directly, and the firm's First Solo scholars are offered a guaranteed interview for its pilot cadet scheme.
Tidewater's salvage sponsorships are open to pilots who already hold a commercial licence, while its First Solo scholarships target school leavers who would otherwise never consider flying. Several of the firm's current Basilisk captains began as First Solo scholars. The company also lends experienced deck crew to our orbital range during check ride week, so trainees practise tether work alongside the riggers they will later fly with.
