Élodie Marchand

Élodie Marchand is training commander for Deep Explorer Command and leads our Titan training annex. She commanded the Odyssey Deep Explorer on two multi-year expeditions, one to Neptune and Triton and one to the Uranian system.

Élodie built the course's 21-day isolation simulation and has written widely on decision-making far from help. She runs the annual selection day for command candidates and sits on the IFSB panel that reviews the Deep-Space Command Endorsement.

Before moving into command, Élodie flew as a Tempest Ice Runner pilot, and she encourages outer-system crews to treat command training as a natural next step. She is currently writing a handbook on leadership for multi-year expeditions.
