Nadia Sato

Nadia Sato runs the Survey Corvette Rating on the Vesta Survey Range. She spent nine years flying Valkyrie Survey Corvettes for prospecting crews and science teams, mapping asteroids in the Belt and ice shelves on Europa.

Nadia is an expert in proximity operations around irregular bodies and wrote the academy's standard for flying survey grids over tumbling rubble piles. She runs an annual field week where trainees survey real targets for working prospectors.

Nadia holds a degree in planetary geology, which helps her explain to trainees why survey data quality matters as much as the flying. She works closely with prospecting guilds to choose real targets for field week and checks every dataset before it is handed over.
